Here is the remarkable story of St. Francis Xavier, who pioneered the missionary effort in Asia in the sixteenth century, traveling tirelessly as far apart as India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, China and Japan.

Giving up a life of nobility and affluence, he adopted and endured the hardship of travel to the East to spread the Good News, and the pursuit of his goal of service to God and his fellow men, gave up his own life.
